Mechanism of Action
Entecavir is a guanosine nucleoside analogue that inhibits Hepatitis B virus (HBV) polymerase. It specifically interferes with viral DNA priming, reverse transcription of the negative strand, and synthesis of the positive strand of viral DNA.
